2nd August 2017 Preparations for my upcoming solo show Bolle in Calvi dell’Umbria, opening this Saturday 5th August are in full swing.
And as it’s the case with every show, the days before the opening are always hectic and full of things to do, decisions to be taken, usually within a very tight time frame. And this time it’s no exception!
I’ve always found the “behind the scenes”, the rehaersals, or for what concerns artworks in themselves, studies, drafts and sketches, much more interesting and engaging then the finished piece.
That’s why I wanted to share here in my blog some moments from the back stage, the transformation of a space, dictated by the works themselves, because I’m convinced that at times it’s not the work in itself which must be adapted to the space rather quite the opposite, when it’s possible, of course.
So, off to work with our brushes! Helped by tireless Riccardo, to create the right background for welcoming my main piece, like the setting for a piece of jewelry…
But it’s too soon to unveil which one I’ll put in “Vetrina”.
Keep following me and reading my posts to know which one I’ve chosen!
